⭐⭐⭐⭐ A solid 4-star experience! We tried the shawarma and really enjoyed the taste. The food was flavorful, the portion was good, and considering the price, the value for money is excellent. The staff was also very friendly and the service was great. The only things I didn’t really like were the tables. The edges felt somewhat rubbery or sticky, and I’m not a fan of sticky tables — unfortunately, something you encounter a little too often in American restaurants. 😅 Also, with shawarma, you know what happens after a couple of minutes — everything gets juicy, and sauce starts going in every direction. 😂 So I would really appreciate having napkins already on the table or being given a sufficient number of them. But overall, great taste, good service, reasonable prices, and excellent value for money. A solid 4 stars and definitely a place I’d visit again!

Visited for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The hummus is the best we've ever had, the owner is so friendly. Was genuinely interested in our family and treated us like family. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend. Great quality food. Great atmosphere!

Sahara is easily one of my favorite places in Rockford. The food is so good it’ll keep you coming back, and even brining in new people just for a bite. If the photos I’ve included don’t vouch for how good the food is I don’t know what will.

“Absolutely amazing experience at Sahara Palace! The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The touka chicken and rice were incredible, and the portions were generous. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made the whole atmosphere feel comfortable and authentic. You can tell they care about quality and customer service. Easily one of the best Mediterranean spots around — I’ll definitely be coming back! Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and great hospitality!” Rick is a fantastic host!!

We’ve tried many Arabic restaurants, but this one is truly our favorite. We were amazed by the quality of the food - everything tasted incredibly fresh, from the hummus and babaganoush to the pita and kebabs. We ordered a small family meal, and it was more than enough for our family with kids. We even had plenty of leftovers to enjoy later. The price was very reasonable as well. The owner, Rick, was especially warm and welcoming. Even though we don’t live nearby, we’ll definitely be back for special occasions!
